EBM has been involved in real estate for over 100 years. This is because hardly any landowners wanted cables or power stations on their land when the first supply networks were set up. This required EBM to purchase its own land. Today, EBM owns land reserves covering an area of more than 20 football pitches in its original network area. This provides us with the strategically-relevant options and flexibility to set up power supply plants such as substations and transformer stations.
• Our land deals and area development are of equal importance in creating strategic business areas to integrate our sustainability concept and enable us to provide the best solution in power, heat and IT/telecom provision, as well as environmental and installation services. The basic prerequisite is that the land deals and services pay for themselves.
