Secure, affordable and environmentally-friendly power at your disposal

The aim of the EBM private cooperative is to supply energy to Birseck, the border area of Alsace and other regions under the most beneficial conditions possible. The cooperative is also entrusted with the task of promoting the economical and efficient use of energy as well as the generation of electricity from renewable energies.
This is why we aim to offer our customers secure and affordable power that also meets the demands of environmental and climate protection.
In order to continue to meet these requirements in the future despite a continuous rise in consumption, we are adopting the four-strand energy strategy espoused by the Swiss Federal Council. This expressly advocates the building of large-scale power plants, the promotion of renewable energy from wind and solar sources, improved energy efficiency and imports through foreign holdings. EBM places great emphasis on diversification for the sake of supply security, cost structuring and risk distribution. The diversification concept includes hydro and nuclear power from Switzerland, thermal energy from Germany and France, as well as power from wind parks and photovoltaic systems in Southern Europe – which means that we invest in country-specific energy mixes.
